The BIG SHOT Challenge is open to participants ages 13 through adults.

• Middle school athletes
• High school players
• College students
• Adults & community members

Participants under 18 may be required to have a parent/guardian complete the waiver during registration.

Registering is simple:

• Complete the online registration form
• Select your event city & date
• Pay the registration fee
• Receive confirmation email with event details

Your registration fee supports the National High School Basketball Association (NHSBA) and helps fund youth mentoring, education, life skills, and athletic development programs.

Spots may be limited per session, so early registration is encouraged.

Our membership fees vary depending on the type of membership and the duration of the membership. Please visit our pricing page on our website for more information.

Come dressed like you’re ready to hoop:

• Athletic shirt or jersey
• Basketball shorts or athletic wear
• Basketball shoes (court-appropriate)
• Optional: knee sleeves, headbands, wristbands

No sandals, boots, or non-athletic footwear allowed on the court.

Participants compete in a 60-second shooting round.

Here’s how it works:

• Players shoot from designated spots on the court
• Each made basket counts toward your total score
• Rebounders or ball returns keep the action moving

You may have multiple attempts depending on your registration level

The player with the highest number of made shots is the top scorer

Top scorers at each event may qualify for:  

• Prizes
• Giveaways
• Special recognition
• Grand prize opportunities (Final Four VIP Package (2 Final Four tickets,  2 Fan Fest Tickets,  hotel and Airfare travel accommodations)

Yes! Spectators are welcome.

Parents, friends, and fans can attend to cheer participants on

Some venues may have designated viewing areas

Certain locations may charge a small spectator entry fee (if required by the facility)
